Go Play! Axe Throw is the Winner of the 2023 ATA Judges Choice Kidult Product of the Year
Aussie Brand Go Play! takes out leading Judges Choice Award for Hot New Toy- Go Play! Axe Throw
13 March 2023| One of the year’s most hotly anticipated new toys, Axe Throw, by leading Australian brand Go Play! has been awarded the Australian Toy Association Judges Choice Kidult Award 2023.
Presented at the recent 2023 Australian Toy Hobby and Licensing Fair in Melbourne, the inaugural prize is awarded to the best toy for Age:12 +, for kids and adults alike.
Aimed at those aged eight plus, the axe throwing kit features an innovative design making for exciting game play. Additionally, its all-weather hardiness makes it great for the park, camping or backyard fun.
The still to be released toy will shortly hit the shelves in July.
The toy comes hot on the heels of the growing axe throwing craze which is currently sweeping the nation and the globe.
The pastime has hugely taken off at axe throwing centres around Australia, with fun loving adults keen to let their hair down with some good throws.
With its fast pace, and huge energy release, axe throwing has grown so popular in recent years, that the World Axe Throwing League was formed in 2017 to organize international competition.
With many kids eager to also try the activity, Go Play! felt it was a no-brainer to make a kit that both kids and adults could enjoy in a safe way.
“What a thrill it was to generate such excitement with our new Go Play! Axe Throw at the 2023 Australian Toy Hobby and Licensing Fair in Melbourne,” says Go Play! Sales Manager Joseph Spagnoletti.
“Axe throwing has grown so quickly in popularity around the country that we thought it was fitting to bring this fun and safe action game to Australian homes and maybe a few offices as well. We are very eager to see Axe Throw on shelves around the country in conjunction with our retail partners.”
